About the photographer

Just a few words to introduce myself.......
I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of photography but my passion is for land & seacapes, along with old architecture. This is mainly due to living for many years on the North Yorkshire coast and in more recent times living in & around the beautiful city of York.

Wildlife also features, as this part of the country has such a diverse range of both birds & animals.

As I stated in my introduction on the Home page, I love the landscape genre as it provides me with opportunities to "see" areas which normally I would be unlikely to visit. I enjoy photographing the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors & the coastline around Whitby which are all superb, but there are hidden jems around Yorkshire less trodden. Areas such as the coastline above Scarborough along the Cleveland Way which is all rugged & full of history. The totally different coast below Bridlington past Hornsea onto Spurn Point. Visit these in winter when they can be stunning (particularly at sunrise!!!), but the real gem for me are the Yorkshire Wolds!!! Many of my wildlife pictures are taken around the Wolds. The young deer in the woods was taken in a copse near Millington Springs. The hares also from this area. Red Kites, need I go on?

I also enjoy portrait & wedding photography as this allows me work with some really interesting people.
